Yanmar 57hp 500 hours water pump issues

I was wondering if any others found water seepage? Never really see it, just the stain.

Re: Yanmar 57hp 500 hours water pump issues

Krab,
Water pumps are meant to weep when the shaft bearings are worn or perhaps a breached gasket as DotDun mentioned. Sometimes, overtightening of the belt will cause premature bearing wear and subsequently, a leak. I hope this helps. Best, Rognvald
