Yanmar 3YM30 Hot Water Heater Feeds

I appear to have a tiny leak from the fitting on top of the engine that either takes or returns hot coolant to/from the water heater. The paint under the suspect fitting is peeling and I have noticed trace amounts under the engine.

Has anyone faced this issue? Seems like failed component. Anybody know the proper term for it?. Click image for larger version

Re: Yanmar 3YM30 Hot Water Heater Feeds

when I was changing coolant, had to remove hot water hose to bleed air. Hose was damaged by previous owner, probably when bleeding air.

Was able to tighten back and stop leak. Hose is removed quite hard, and this, i guess, is you root cause too.

Maybe check first if hose is leaking and tighten more.

Then go on metal part.
