Yanmar 3ym30

My belts shredded last weekend, I am trying to find the correct part number, but it seems yanmar does not make it easy. Does anyone know the correct numbers/sizes or where I can find them?

Call Bayshore Marine in Annapolis. That is where I always go for Yanmar parts and they are generally very helpful.

Re: Yanmar 3ym30

Thank you very much!

I found a 19" belt to fit the water pump from a local hydraulic hose/belt supplier. I also ordered the yanmar belt for good measure/backup.

I checked the air filter as I noticed a lot of belt dust on the motor and sure enough it is shot, so ordering another pair of those as well.

Thanks again!

What is it that you'd look for in order to determine the condition of the air filter?

Thank you

Re: Yanmar 3ym30

The belts on the Lagoon 380 are a nightmare( 3ym30 )... so difficult to get to. Buy the best quality you can find and tension them regularily. Also check for rust on the pulleys as this makes them wear faster.

Re: Yanmar 3ym30

It was completely covered in black belt dust, which I could have perhaps cleaned if the foam filter wasn't also disintegrating and half missing - time for replacement!
