Yanmar 3gm30f dipstick conversion
I all ways had trouble checking my oil on my yanmar 3gm30f. Its not the motor but it's placement in my boat that makes it hard to reach.
Now finishing my rebuild I decided to fix this. It was so easy I wish I had done this years ago. From ebay, I bought an after market chevy dipstick with double oh rings at the bottom. I removed the engine dipstick holder and drilled out the original hole slightly . Cleaned and replaced. Cut 4 inches off the out side casing with a wire cutter to increase the dipstick length to mach original. Sorry I did not take more photos. It was a very easy fix.
