Does anyone else have a diesel-powered Oday 26? If so, where would a "fuse block" be hidden? I was cranking the engine when suddenly power from the batteries ceased. Not knowing that possibly an inline fuse had blown, I replaced the solenoid/starter motor and the key switch. The yard manager suggested using a jumper wire between the battery post on the key switch and a positive post on one of the batteries. Alas! Power again! But what is preventing power from getting to the key switch for normal starting? Where would an inline fuse be hidden?

Check all connections, follow all wires. its possible one of your wires came un- terminated or simply corroded and snapped. O'days aren't know for their quality I've owned two.

There is a 30 amp inline fuse within the engine bay. The power for this circuit is the large two wires in the loom.

The in-line fuse is taped onto the engine wire harness. Follow the small start wire from the starter up and you will find it. Look the wire harness over carefully where it runs behind the back / top of the engine. Vibration (and bad harness routing) caused the harness to chafe against the throttle cable bracket on mine, root cause of the blown fuse. Thank goodness for the fuse. The alternative would have been a fire.

If the fuse isn't blown, it could just be corrosion at the inline fuse holder contacts.
