Yamaha 9.9 wiring from 8 pin to 10 pin

I bought a used 2006 Yamaha 4 stroke electric lift, that has a 10 pin electrical plug for 703 controls. My previous installed engine had 8 pins. Is there an adapter. Any ideas.

Re: Yamaha 9.9 wiring from 8 pin to 10 pin

It should read, 7 pins to 10. I can find an adapter from 10 to 7 pin but the dealer wants $275 Can. with 10 day wait time. The 10 pin on the new engine had two pins not used, so the adapter would only have to double up on one wire. Anyone have a schematic on the wiring of the adapter. It appears like the power Tilt is the issue. There is a switch on the engine port side, and direction, I think, is manipulated by swapping grounds. The new engine possibly had a remote switch by the 703 control.

Got it. Thanks. I also made the discovery that the new engine is push to open throttle, another different aspect to deal with. Parts on order. Lots to learn.
