Unhappy Yamaha 2.5 oil drain plug
A few days ago I foolishly dropped the oil drain plug for my Yamaha 2.5A outboard into the briny, , rushed to the local Mahon Yamaha dealer to order a replacement with washer. The cost is ridiculous and delivery a week, in the meantime I have fitted a short M8 SS bolt with PTFE liquid thread seal to keep me up and running. Is there likely to be any problem with this if I just keep this bolt in?
