Westerbeke W70 engine

Does anyone know which commercial diesel engine the Westerbeke W70 marinized engine is derived from? I've looked all over and can't seem to figure it out. The markings on the starter indicate Mitsubishi.

Check out: westerbeke, marine generators, engines, Official Site

The “old” 7.7 kW (WMD 7.7?) Diesel Generator utilizes a 3 Cylinder, 60 C.I.D. engine.
