Westerbeke W50 water pump

Hello all,

Looking for some help locating a waterpump for the Westerbeke W50 in my 1980 Tartan 37. There is some information out there that the waterpump from a 1979 MGB is a match but in my case, although the gasket footprint is the same, there is an extra casting (maybe for an idler pulley) that prevents it from fitting my Westerbeke block.

Anyone know a good source or part number for a W50 waterpump? or am I stuck paying the big bucks and buying an "official" Westerbeke pump?

Thanks!
Scott

Re: Westerbeke W50 water pump

Water pumps can be rebuilt if the housing is ok. I do mine, salt and fresh.
