Westerbeke Engines

Hello:

My sailboat has a Westerbeke 63D Four marine diesel engine in it. I have been searching online for manuals and parts lists. There site has not been helpful. A lot of links I have found when I google it are not good anymore. Does anyone have any manuals, or know where I can find them? I did find a "Parts List" for the Westerbeke 63B/63C Four engines. I assume those are just modules of the same engine with minor changes. I am thinking I can use them.

Thanks....

Try ebay. Lots of manuals, parts, etc.

Here's the operator's manual.

You are likely to find that many parts are stock items that Westerbeake used off the shelf. You can buy them from Westerbeake for about ten times what they will cost from Kubota....

Re: Westerbeke Engines

I guess I made the assumption that the OP wanted more than the Operator's Manual, that you can get from the Westerbeke site along with a fair number of other documents.

63D Four Manuals Page

What they don't appear to have is the service/parts manuals for the "D". They do have those for the 63B/63C, but I don't know the differences to say how applicable they are to the D. They certainly do share some parts, and the wiring diagrams are the same, so don't know where any differences may be.

The bore, stroke, weight certainly changed significantly in that series, so for a rebuild there have to be some significant parts changes.

Re: Westerbeke Engines

Call Hansen Marine in Massachusetts they're the East Coast Westerbeke guys.

You can actually talk to the guys in the service department and get great advice.
They've helped me out multiple times.
