Hi Gerry...Actually I was beating up the coast of California in 30 knot winds when I noticed that the boat seem to be slowing down and a fine oily mist was about the interior cabin. When I pulled the tranny dip stick, the oil was boiling on it...Not a sight for the faint of heart. It got me home losing a quart of oil every 2 hours. When I dismantled the unit, the bearings were blue from the heat...Amazing!

M.......I guess the good news is you got in under your own power. I've never fried a tranny & I'd like to keep it that way. I have put a rod through the block on a GMC 671 about 20 miles south of Oahu. Not fun coming home on the end of a tow line. Actually very embarrasing. My injectors & pump are supposed to arrive in the big brown truck (UPS) Monday PM so hopefully I'll be up and runnin' before sundown Tuesday.

Aloha...........Gerry
