WESTERBEKE 30 HP parts rebuilt info

Hi all, i came upon some info about the W-30, i dont own a W30 but a W33 and i was talking to someone that is rebuilding is. Before i start i want to say i am not 100% sure of the information and i am not affiliated to by any means to the store i will talk about.

The W30 is not a mitsubishi block (like my W33) but a Layland 154, i think its a english engine. The manifold and the heat exchanger are not the same but everything else is. I was shock to see the price the guy paid for a rebuilt gasket price, ( like 150 $ usd ) since some of the westerbeke parts are discontinued or so damn expensive. The parts came from Northwoods tractor in Gleason Wisconsin. I cant say if they have rings, pistons, water pumps etc but if you are doing a major refit on your W30 you should give these guys a call.

Hope it helps.
Mike.

The old W30 is actually a Perkins 4-91 engine, marinized by Westerbeke. 25hp @ 2500 rpm. The old W33 is a Mitsubishi engine. If you need W33 parts, I have some here in CT. Joe D

I don't recall exactly what W33 parts I have, but can check for you, if you like. What parts are you needing? Joe D

Hello - I just checked my storage area for W33 parts. I have a complete head with valves & injectors, exhaust manifold, valve cover, pto pulley [ drove a Sea Frost compressor]
fresh water pump, transmission adapter plate, air intake horn, and a few additional parts. I can send pictures, if you like. Joe D
