Re: warm engine

Does your engine coolant have a freshwater heater loop, and if so, are you heating the hot water electrically?

Re: warm engine

Is the entire engine warm, or is it localized, like the alternator?

Re: warm engine

+1 for heating via coolant loop thermosiphon through the water heater (assuming it's actually getting warm, not an anomalous gauge reading.)

Re: warm engine

Ok
Thx to all. The engine did cool down when I turned water heater off. Where is water heater.? I couldn’t see it. Starboard eng looks the same, but not hot.
Dous anyone know what the aux switch is for?
Why don’t I get read out on engine parameters when I start engine?
No oil temp/pressure reading and no temperature reading

Depending on year and engine model, Yanmar offers different engine operating panels. Some provide readouts; some only warning lights. Yanmar website is pretty informative. Obtain the manual for your specific model.
