Volvo MD2 weight vs Md6a weight.

I am looking at a boat with a clapped out MD2 and I am wondering about the weight differance between the MD2 and the MD6a. The boat doesnt need 15 HP so the smaller engine would do fine. I just spent an hour trying to google Volvo weights and could find everything but weights. Before everybody starts the BUY A YANMAR chorus, I like Volvos and understand the parts price and availability problems, so it is not an issue with me. Any help will be appreciated.____Grant.

Volvo claimed a dry weight of 505lbs for the MD2B with MS gear and 385 lbs for the MD7A with MS gear. I hope this helps.

Stanley, Thank you for the info. 120 lbs if convereted to water tankage can make a big comfort differance on a small cruiser. Thanks again____Grant.
