Volvo gauge face plate assembly

Ahoy all, I have a 03 Leopard Catamaran with Volvo 2040 D's. At the helm station I have two face plates holding the tachometer, oil pressure, Temp and volts along with the push button start, and some toggles switches. The sun has taken its toll on the face plate and guides that hold them to the bulk head. I contacted Volvo to replace the gauge guides and face plate however they want to sell me the total assembly including gauges and guides. They want $895 each !!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where I can find after market face plate along with the guides and brackets? Thanks...Joe S/V Unitask

On a related issue, I've had a couple of the bezels that hold the gauges in place fail when I was trying to clean the lenses. I glued them to the gauges and reinstalled them.

LOL seems the President is involved as to who can access the Volvo site!!!

"The Volvo Penta Online Store is only accessible to visitors located in the United States**. Please contact your local dealer for information concerning Genuine Volvo Penta parts."

I doubt that......It appears it's actually Iboats.com. If you know how to use a vpn server you could access and get part numbers/diagrams. There still may be a shipping issue for outside U.S. I have a mail forward service that would theoretically take care of that. Maybe call tel:1-800-916-1123 and talk to them, they have been helpful when I talked with them. If you want the diagram and parts list I would be glad to help. Limited time offer!

Hi Tkeeth
Your offer is more than generous but my comment was in jest rather than needing any parts right now.
However.....sometimes I do look at getting parts from USA to my home in Tasmania and the freight rates are really high. EBay included for some reason?

Re: Volvo gauge face plate assembly

I was thinking of drawings etc....

You can likely order from different dealers nearer to save money, but as the op stated, they try and sell the whole thing when you only need a 10 dollar part
