To refit the timing case back plate on Perkins 4.108

To refit the timing case back plate on Perkins 4.108
I wander how to center the timing gear plate and also the timing gear cower to then have the raw water fit the injection pump pulley.
Also then there is the same question because of oil seal on crank shaft.

What is the way to solve this problem?

Without having the special tool to align the cover, the seal should be installed, the cover (with gasket) loosely fitted and the crank pulley installed to centralize the cover, and then install and tighten the bolts. I assume the same procedure can be used simultaneously with the water pump">raw water pump.

Thank you.

I hope cover plate has enough play because I have installed back plate to have bolts in center of bolts holes.

I understand now that back plate does not have any influence on the position of cover plate.

The oil gasket can centralize the cover, but it can be still rotated around crank shaft.

What is the tool to centralize raw water pump?
