Suzuki Outboard 6 hp DF6A Model

The gear shifter on this outboard has become very hard to shift and I do not want to force the shifter. The engine is about 4 years old. Any suggestions or link to getting this solved? I have just greased all of the grease nipples and still no change in the shifter. Thanks

If it’s like any other outboard, the grease zerks have nothing to do with the shift linkage.

I’d suggest pulling the cover off and look for a binding linkage, probably where the neutral safety is for the pull starter.
