steel Flange bearing on stainless steel prop shaft

Does anyone have a recommendation for a mid shaft flange bearing for a 20 foot long 1 1/8" aquamet propeller shaft? I recently had to remove a spherical mid section bearing to remove the prop shaft and after much pounding and swearing (and swearing and pounding) I finally ended up grinding the entire housing and raceway and bearing inner race and then carefully filing and polishing the scored section.
Do I need to find a stainless steel flange bearing, or would something like Tef-gel to prevent seizing. The bearing was only lightly rusted, but I am NOT going to spend another day face down in the bilge attempting to move a seized bearing.
