Most times a good multi grade will perform just fine. But if you do go for a multigrade when previousely you havn't used such, just keep an eye on your oil consumption. If the engine suddenly starts using oil, then change back. The most common engines to use Multi grades are Japanese engines.

Multigrade oils are listed for use for your engine model and 15W40 multigrade oil gives a good ambient temperature range.

No offense CSY but I suggest that OP open the link to the engine manual for "his" engine, which I provided, and follow the advice in the manual for his engine.
