Simrad NAC-2 vs NAC-3

Good day everyone,

I currently have a Hanse 32ft sailboat with a Raymarine wheel ST4000MK2 autopilot. It works ok in light winds but can't keep up with strong wind or sudden course change because of following seas.

I've decided to upgrade the computer and considering Simrad NAC-2 since it say it works for boats upto 35ft. My friend tells me to get NAC-3 because apparently there any many issues with NAC-2 steering. The price difference is significant enough for me to take a second look and dig deeper into that.

Question for everyone if you are aware of the NAC-2 issues and if they are applicable to the 32ft boat (12k lb. displacement).
