Raw Water pump unscrewing pulley wheel

I need to unscrew the pulley wheel on our water pump">raw water pump ( type Johnson F4B-903).

Which way do I turn the retaining nut - counter clockwise/left or clockwise/right) Click image for larger version

It looks like a Nyloc nut so it's probably a RH nut so turn it C-clockwise. LH nuts usually have a notch in the hex of the nuts, so check first.

You are right. Turning it counter clock will loosen the screw.
