I am replumbing a Perkins 4-108, has VelvetDrive and a separate V-Drive gearbox. I plan on going seacock, strainer, V-drive, trans cooler, pump, engine, exhaust. Had been set up with trans and V-drive parallel rather than series, but the whole deal was cobbled together and poorly designed and executed.
I am planning on using 3/4" hose for the system. Is this size adequate for the 4-108? Runs are all short.

mine are also 3/4" (4-108). there are a couple of 'special' short hose pieces that look like they were molded to fit in their particular spot. they also appear to be 3/4".

Re: Raw water hose size 4-108
Of all the Perkins 4-108s Ive worked on and owned, I sure don't remember any other size hose in the system other then 3/4 in. Ive always used top line automotive 3/4 in heater hose, always seemed to work just fine and a lot cheaper then buying at WM. I always buy a box, memory tells me it comes in 50ft and 100ft amounts, never hurts to have some extra, ya never know when ya can help somebody out !! Just my 2 cents
Great. I have a roll of 3/4 hardwall exhaust hose sitting around. I was worried it might be too small as the original was a combo of 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4". Surprisingly, no garden hose used.
