if you aren't worried about fire resistance. CPVC sched 80 pipe resists heat a bit better. It gets brittle when exposed to UV but in the dark lasts for a long time. Part of my exhaust

injection is CPVC & its 7 years old at least. Wouldnt hesitate to replace with same & I can fabricate an ss exhaust
if I wished but PVC faster, easier & cheaper.
Not sure about insurance
in USA tho.
