At the moment im running folding props but want to change to

For god knows what ever reason,,LAGOON YACHTS will NOT supply

At a price and know what i know now about LAGOON,,I would not have
Bought one,,i wont be buying another because of their NON existent
After sales help.
Saying that, does any Lagoon 45 owner with fixed blade props ,have
Any idea what size those blades are and where to obtain them..

Re: Propellers

Are you aware that there's a Lagoon sub-forum here on CF? The other owners there may be able to better help you with this.

Otherwise, there are shops & services dedicated entirely to propellers, & in matching up the proper size & pitch prop with various boats. So I would imagine that they'd also have such information too. As well as the fact that they can do calculations based on a boat's engine, transmission, & hull, etc. In order to come up with the correct propeller.

BTW, have you at all considered props which feather as an alternative? They put power into the water exceedingly well, have incredible handling manners, especially when docking & such, & great sailing performance. With many of them being pitch adjustable while on the boat, in the water. MaxProp is one, but there are others too. And I'm a fan of them for the above reasons.

Re: Propellers

Lagoon equip their Cats with a standard prop unless an owner wants otherwise.
I have delivered a few of the 45s with fixed 3 blades on them and find i get better
Speed with these,,,
I'm just a little peeved with LAGOON when it comes to obtaining info from them,
Regarding parts etc..this is not the first time i have had this problem with them.
I lost a prop on a 46 LEOPARD ,got into Beaufort and had a new one within 3 days

Re: Propellers

Hi Mindsofman,

I suppose you don't have an answer because the dealer doesn't know which is the standard propeller installed. Typically this is not the information they have and finding that info at the shipyard in France is also not easy.
But if you want to change because of speed with high sea and weather and reverse power, you can consider EWOL Props, which are feathering propellers.
We will be at the boat show">Annapolis boat show in October.

On our website you can calculate the right prop for your boat and ask for a quote www.ewoltech.com
