Re: Pre-combustion chambers

Yes good advice re injectors. I have taken pump and injectors to a specialist for testing. Both injectors need replacement nozzles. Pump to be serviced. Cost of Yanmar nozzles ....$A220 /unit...nuts! Cost of aftermarket ....6 for $35. No brainer. Good thing about these old Yanmars is so many mechanical parts common with agri pumps , gen sets cultivators etc.

Re: Pre-combustion chambers

Better tell the injection pump guys to contact you for pump parts. It was quoted $630 to rebuild our YSM8 pump. I reckon u'll be looking at close to a grand or maybe more even if they have to replace plungers & delivery valves using the mafias parts.
Probably a good chance they'll want to if your injectors were knackered.
Good score on the nozzles

Re: Pre-combustion chambers

I know NZ is super-expensive for everything. $620 for single cylinder pump is plain extortionate. Here in Brisbane cost for YSB 12 pump rebuild about 2 yrs ago was $100. I've been recently quoted $210 to recondition 2QM15 pump...so about $100/cylinder. Definitely something best left to the experts in my opinion.

Oh yeah that's ok, Wouldn't do it myself at that price except I enjoy doing it myself.
They can't be using mafia parts for that price
