That looks like 10kg/kWh and $200 per kWh - with power density likely to increase a lot in the near future since many of the others are down to about 5kg/kWh. So probably 400kg and $10,000 for the batteries if they've done well negotiating with BMW.

You are correct. I missed the BMS i battery part. Looks like they are not LiFePo4. (LiFePo4 is a type of Li-Ion)

So less usable kW, shorter life and greater risk of catastrophic failure for the lower price?

This are water resistant BMW prismatic cell Li-ion batteries. There are more than 100000 BMW cars in the field using this technology. Not one safety relevant issue until today. So the boating applications directly benefit from the progress in the automotive field.
