Perkins M65

Hello all,
I'm looking at a sailboat that has a Perkins Sabre M65 auxiliary engine in it. Does anyone know if parts are still available for these? Is there enough support for them to be rebuilt if needed?

To the best of my knowledge part are still available. I bought mine from Pacific Detroit Diesel in Washington www.pacificpowergroup.com in 1998 and got part from them in 2016.

Thank you GordMay for those links I did not have the installation manual in any form and only a paper copy of the user manual and the shop manual. Do you have the link for the shop manual n PDF?

Thank you for everyone's responses. I'm a newbie to sailing and here on CF so working hard to find my way. The last thing I want to do is buy a liveaboard sailboat that needs a new engine right away so thought I'd better ask around about the M65 since I'd never heard of them before. This one has 3000 hours on it so hopefully a lot of life left in it.

i am also looking at buying a boat that has a bad Perkins engine (or so the seller says) He thinks its bearings and rings, i think it is probably bad fuel. In any case, it also has 3000 hours, so i am prepared mentally to have to rebuild it.

I'll be curious to see if you can get it running properly, or if it needs to be rebuilt and how that process goes.
