Have a
perkins 4.236 with a mixing
elbow showing some moderate
corrosion. I can get a new
elbow, but I can't get ahold of a new manifold and they report to have
corrosion issues as well.
Note - I seem to have excess steam in my
exhaust after warming up.
Engine temperature seems fine.
What can I do to try and get as much life out of this manifold as i can?
I want to be careful not to break anything worse than it is now. Sometimes, you take **** apart like this and it goes to ****. Broken bolt, leads to a tap/drill leads to
removal, leads to the part just going to ****, leads to no replacement
parts, leads to
engine replacement... that's my fear.
