Perkins 4.236 engine mounts
Hi, I have a Perkins 4.236 that needs new engine mounts. The current ones are a discontinued Vetus product. Does anyone have an idea where I might find a suitable replacement?
Thanks.

Or this firm. The point will be to get substitutes that have about the same flex as your originals, and they may be able to ID that for you. It's a tricky balance between absorbing vibration (softer) and restricting movement (harder) while supporting the weight and transferring the thrust to the hull. That's about the same number of variables as in choosing a propeller.

That has not been my experience with “Polyflex” however , “Isoflex” has very good service and so far, no failed mounts as was the case with Polyflex.
If the OP is in the US , shop locally and buy “Bushings” mounts, very good product over a long time period.

Thanks Pete, have also come across Bushings and they may have something. The quest is to have solid mounts without have to build a new base. There’s also R and D in the UK.

Thank you cottonsail, they came on the radar along for TAD. I’ll post my results in due course for those who come after me.

Re: Perkins 4.236 engine mounts
I resorted to a mechanic, Sea Dog Marine at East Coast Marina, Manly QLD and he found something suitable in New Zealand. They are being shipped over, I’ll try to get more details. The other option was totally replacing the mounts which was a much bigger job [emoji33].
