Perkins 4.154 might be for sale

Just testing the water here, which I hope is allowed, but if not please let me know or lock the post up.

I'm going to be removing my Perkins 4.154 and I'm wondering how much interest there is in the parts. Asking as I'm undecided if I should try and get a block (assuming I can find one) and transfer over the parts or go for a complete new replacement (probably Beta 50 or the like).

So the engine underwent a pretty comprehensive rebuild of the external parts before it went bang. This included;

Took off and cleaned and pressure tested the cooler and the oil and transmission cooler. Replaced end caps and new hose across all the engine.
New starter
Rebuilt injector pump
4 rebuilt injectors
all the above have had 8 hours running since installation.
New oil sender and switch
Fuel lift pump

Velvet transmission rebuilt around 5 years ago by the PO (I can probably track down the invoices) and had around 50 hours running since
New gauges- main taco has 17 hours on it- all stewart warner

I can provide invoices for all the replacement parts to confirm when the works were carried out.

I also have the main block, although its no longer sounding too clever......

I can either do it as one lot or I can strip off the new pieces if there is enough interest.

Not completely sure, but it was blowing a fair amount of smoke out of the oil fill cap, when we took the cover off today it looks like the top end isn't getting enough oil for lubrication and the smoke was coming from number three cylinder and it then stopped running. We didn't try starting her again.
