Perkins 4-108 replacement Exhaust Mixing Elbow

Hi Folks.
I've developed a tiny tiny leak in my exhaust mixing elbow. TAD says they can make one for $517. I'm currently in Mazatlan, MX, but will be in the US in a few weeks. I attached TADs picture and it is identical to mine. They say it's cast iron, but I thought Folley advertised it as aluminum or something that would last longer. I think I originally got it at Folley years ago. I don't want to replumb the whole thing, but was wondering if anybody else has any thoughts or alternatives. That just seemed way steep.

It looks like cast iron. I'd definitely try JB Weldor tape before I spent that sort of money. Here are new stainless steel and iron replacements for a lot less.

The price may seem steep, but your safety depends on this little piece of metal.
Consider fresh water flushing after running the motor in salt.

Price seems reasonable & cast iron will give decades of service life if it's well made.

Depends how you're viewing it, USD or in your case AUD. AUD would be closer to $1000, now is it reasonable?
To the OP, have you researched alternatives? These are realistically consumable items and often the more expensive will outlast a couple of the cheaper alternatives, your choice.

Had a local shop make one in 316 stainless for $300.
