Hi,My paragon box started leaking bad to the point it
lost propulsion, which when I pulled it turned out to be the front seal flogged out.Down here in NZ I was in the same position as you but with a bit of asking about soon found an old dude(even older than me) who stripped it,and replaced every thing that needed doing for$1400nz,which I thought was pretty good.Even better we now have a neutral which is a revelation after 20years!!Ours had no plate either and he told me the reduction was two and a half to one,not two to one.I then bought the right prop and lo and behold 7 knts
cruise at 1700 revs.We put bigger diameter hoses on as instructed, and intend to drain the whole box , not just the reduction part from now on!!He said they are are a great box,and if you can get the
parts and some wise old sage, stick with it and save the hassle and expense of a new one.Dave.
