[Panama City, FL] - Recommendations Ford Lehman Motor inspector, pre-purchase survey

Hello All,

I am under contract to purchase a 1982 vessel.

Looking for recommendations for an excellent Ford Lehman motor inspector in the Panama City, FL area to join me during my boat survey and sea trial on the 7th of October, and really dig deep in vetting this engine for me.

All i know about it thus far is that the transmission was fully rebuilt in maryland earlier this year by the current owner before bringing it down to Panama City, and the motor turns over faster than my 2018 subaru when started.

I'm not sure that that person exists. That's an old engine. If you were over here in Carrabelle I'd say Eric Pfeifer is your person, at Dockside Marine.

Probably your best bet is a mechanic experienced in older engines. There's nothing magical about them. Good compression, no smoke, hoses OK, oil OK, cooling OK, no weird vibrations, and that's about all you can say about them.
