Right and that works for a
power boat, but for a
kicker outboard motor on a sailboat unless in totally flat
water the prop will definitely come completely out of the
water with each little wave if that is as deep as you place the
outboard
Mine is usually about a foot or more underwater to keep the outboard from continually popping out of the water and maxing the RPM's (until the overrev governor kicks in)
