Thanks for the info, all. In the end I realized that rotating them would be not be as easy as I had hoped, so I'm filled 3 of the bolt holes in the fiberglass mounting frame, moved the motor into alignment, and am now working on driling and retapping new holes in the improved locations. Spinning the mounts would have meant lifting up the whole motor which would be more involved. Thanks a lot.
