nissan chrysler mn 22 WON'T START

Hello all. My 1974 Nissan-Chrysler MN22 ran out of gas as I was fiddling about with some electronic gear.
Do I need to bleed the air just because of that!!?
Bought the boat in July and has run great since then, but I am getting around to some things that age hath wrought. One being, finding where the connection to the fuel sender is out. The entire gauges panel is new, and the previous owner passed on to his final sea trip.

Soooo, I know where the fuel tank is, and I need to complete the connection.
Till then...again, do I need to bleed the air?
The Geordie Lad cranks just fine. New batteries all around, plenty of oil, but no start.
ALSO...

I need a download link for a service manual for this MN22?
Thank you.

Turn off the raw water intake to avoid flooding the cylinders while you explore the intricacies of bleeding the air from your fuel system..... and yes , you do need to remove all the air from the system. This would be a good time to change all the fuel filters too.

Flooding via the exhaust takes different periods of dead cranking according to the size of the Aqualock and the size/type of water pump">raw water pump. Also, once the Aqualock is filled it can act as a blockage and stop the engine from starting even if the water doesn't fill the system all the way up to the mixer elbow.
Did you get it started yet?

skipperpete Going to the boat tomorrow or Sunday the 5th. Thought I'd wait to tackle new filters and bleeding when a friend with a 54 foot cruiser gets back to our Island and get his help with bleeding, etc..
