Light and buzzer

Hi hope you can help me ,
I've got a problem when at high speed after a few minutes a warning light and buzzer comes on so I have to reduce speed and it resets itself. I've got a merry fisher 750 with a 175 hp Yanmar engine the boat was built in 2001 . The panel tells me that water temperature is high . List of what has been checked
Water filter and intake in hull .
New impeller
New thermostat
Thanks Richard .

Re: Light and buzzer

Hi Richard,
issue could be a myriad of problems. When you changed the impellor we're any of the blades missing, if so did you check elsewhere in the line to find the missing pieces.
Have you checked the water inlet. Is it blocked by growth.
In the life of the motor have you serviced or had the heat exchanger cleaned. Calcium buildup in the exchanger can all but stop water flow in the cooling circuit.
Just a couple of things to check that may be of assistance.
