This is not a matter of "opinion", different
transmission manufacturers specify doing it differently. FOLLOW THE MANUAL FOR YOUR
TRANSMISSION, not somebody's uninformed "opinion."
It is also important to recognize that the dipstick might read a different oil volume as "full" if the
engine is installed at a significant down angle. In the absence of guidance otherwise from the manufacturer, I would go with the dipstick not the volume. I figure the level of oil is more critical than the amount, but in the real world we might just be splitting hairs on this...
