Is this a long shaft outboard?

I’m buying an outboard to replace an old one on my 20 foot sailboat.

Re: Is this a long shaft outboard?

There are only two shaft lengths. Measure from the inside bottom of the transom bracket to the shaft center.

Per the (L) in the model number, its a long shaft 20". (XL) is extra long 25"

BTW, for future refernce, I believe the measurment is from the inside bottom of the transom bracket to the top of the cavitation plate, above the propeller.

Many motors come in three lengths, (S) short shaft 15.5", (L) long shaft 20". (XL) is extra long 25"

Re: Is this a long shaft outboard?

Thanks for that. Looks like I’m fixing my old one. Any thoughts on this problem?
