Installing a coolant return hose on a Northern Lights Generator

The 1" ID hose is 1/4" thick with one end under the wet manifold, where it is difficult to install.

Can I heat the rubber hose with an air dryer, or soak it in "warm" water to make it easier to install?

Suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your expertise.

Also a little bit of lubricant on the inside of the hose
