Hello
Due to seized engine,a vetus p4/19 (peugeot xud9) 52hp @3600 rpm,I'm swapping for identicle engine but from a mower that runs max 2750 rpm unknown hp.How can I adjust the settings on the injection pump to 3600 rpm .It's a delphi rotary like lucas pump.0r need I not bother, also ,if ithen cruised at 1500 rpm constant ,would uprating the pump change the fuelconsumption ,smoke more. It's a colvic countess 37
I haven’t had any experience with this particular Peugeot, only with the earlier Indenor that was generally seen in boats as the “Lehman Peugeot” but there’s a 50/50 chance that the governor is a constant speed one, not the variable speed one we use on engines in yachts ( unless of course its a generator).
It might be useful to swap the injector pumps if the mower engine is a constant speed application and it seems like that particular Peugeot is an overhead cam engine…. If it’s a belt driven cam, replace the belt before installing it in the boat.
