Impeller housing question

I have a Farymann 15w( yes I know its odd) the impeller housing has a screw directly below the impeller which is about 3/8" . When running the screw is dry...when he engine is shut down there is a drip from the screw about 2 drops /sec.....any ideas what is going on here?? There is nothing visible inside the impeller housing...

If you're talking about this screw, it might be loose or missing a seal, gasket or sealant. By the way, if yours is the one in the photo, it's a Johnson F35B9.

Guess it is the set screw which secures the cam inside the pump housing.
I dont know Johnson pumps, but on Jabsco pumps there is a small sealing ring which fits over that screw.
As a temporary fix, some thread sealant could be applied to the screw.

ill go with the set screw answer...I can stop the leak by putting my finger over the hole the screw is recessed into...
