I know What I Will Be Doing This Memorial Day Weekend

So was running my engine at the dock last weekend. It ran fine for about 15 minutes when it raced and then died. Air in the lines. Bled lines and noticed outlet of fuel pump dry when manually pumped. Check upstream filter, looked OK but saw some emulsion on it. changed filter and reassembled and bled lines. Ran a few more minutes and died.
It was late so I left.
So my plan of action is to first trace feed line back to tank and if I can inspect and clean the dip tube.
Second, to polish the fuel I think I will use the lift pump for the generator to recirculate the fuel through the primary filter and then back to tank using vinyl tubing connectors.
Comments????

Those little lift pumps don't do much and the fuel pick-up is off the bottom of the tank so in the end it would take forever to polish all the fuel in the tank. You may need to get serious.
