So was running my
engine at the
dock last weekend. It ran fine for about 15 minutes when it raced and then died. Air in the lines. Bled lines and noticed outlet of
fuel pump dry when manually pumped. Check upstream filter, looked OK but saw some emulsion on it. changed filter and reassembled and bled lines. Ran a few more minutes and died.
It was late so I left.
So my plan of action is to first trace feed line back to tank and if I can inspect and clean the dip tube.
Second, to polish the
fuel I think I will use the
lift pump for the
generator to recirculate the
fuel through the primary filter and then back to tank using vinyl tubing connectors.
