YiKeS!! I went to fill up my gas tank and saw this. What the heck happened? Btw... I ain't all that mechanically inclined insofar as my outboard motor is concerned either.

We talk boats here on the CF not cars, but you may want to clean that black sheet up and trade it in fast.

You mean the black stuff? maybe you have an exhaust leak and it is getting under there...?

Looks like someone confused the petrol filler with the ashtray. Perhaps reading the owners manual would help sort this out... I dunno.

I think your diesel is running a little rich, you might want to make sure your exhaust elbow is not carboned up......LOL. Oh make sure you double clamp the exhaust hose to prevent future leakage...

Cleaning and a generous coating of 5200 will solve those expensive fill up issues.

Or maybe you need to change your raw water impeller.

Or for real.... maybe your vapor recovery carbon canister located under the hood needs to be changed out. That would give you the carbon without the flame. Its an emissions issue.
