Help with Teleflex single lever / dual function engine control

Good day folks!
I'm having a minor issue with my engine control lever - specifically, it hits the side of the cockpit seat before it reaches cruising RPM.

I've attached a photo of the lever, since I'm not 100% sure of what it is, but believe it to be a Teleflex c2100P.

So, 2 questions - first, does anyone know how to remove the handle & cover to get at the actual controls? I've removed the set screw underneath the handle, but it won't come off. It's probably just stuck, but concerned about breaking the plastic cover if I try to hard to pry the handle off.

Second, any thoughts on how to best correct the problem?
I'm assuming I'll be able to make adjustments to the cable once I gain access to the controls, but that is pure speculation on my part since I have zero experience with such things.

I had found those, but the manual gives no real indication of how to remove other than simply pulling it off once the set screw is loosened.

Turns out this HUGE problem was caused by my accidentally pulling up on the handle at some point or another making it a bit too long! You can actually see the gap between the round handle portion and the metal arm in the photo!

I just pushed it back down - problem solved!

I guess the old adage is correct; "When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses not zebras"
