Help - water in diesel tank!

The tampon trick! LOL! I would have never thought of that. I had no idea there was something so common that would suck up water and not diesel. From now on I will have a case of them on the boat.

If you don’t have an emulsifier in your diesel the water and fuel are seperated. Buy some extra Racor fuel filters and go boating. Every hour, maybe 2 hours check the racor for water in the bowl. Purge water. Continu boating.

I will second the motion here!! We had water in our fuel tanks and did exactly this and water all came out. Our pick up was to the bottom and we found out that water also carried sediment dirt that the fuel did not pick up. We added a drip tray under the Racors and completely fixed the situation... It became routine to check the Racors daily and to completely remove all the water. Good luck...
