HELP Starter repair Abaco Bahamas

Anyone with recent experience please help us find a repair source for our Perkins 4.108 starter
Took a dump a few minutes ago at Manjack. Current on our way to Marsh Harbour to find repairs. I once received excellent repairs from Marsh Harbour Boat Yard but that was 10 years ago and now I get no answer on the phone. I need a mechanic and a starter shop. Please don’t waste my meager internet resources on anything but what I have asked for, A mechanic to remove and a starter shop to repair my starter. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP

You might try asking "all stations", on VHF channel 16.

Re: HELP Starter repair Abaco Bahamas

A long shot.

In Marsh Harbor, on the road out to the airport, maybe a mile up the road from the town, is an auto repair shop on the left hand side, that really helped me out with a similar problem.

Off course, this was pre-hurricane Dorian times, so not sure if they are still around.

I was advised about this place by a local taxi driver. When you get to Marsh Harbor, ask any taxi driver as they will know all the repair shops.

There is a local in Marsh Harbour that works on diesels. Contact Conch Inn Marina. +1 242-577-7000. They can put you in touch with him.

From a friend... Basil Wilmore in Marsh Harbour. He's on Facebook, expensive but he does good work. Good luck.

Try contacting Cruise Abacos. They are great folks. I suspect they will have a good suggestion for you.
