Fuel Tank Leak

1997 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42.2 with a fuel leak that only occurs when underway using the engine. About a quart/liter of fuel puddles under the floorboards after passing under the battery compartment. I can’t see where it’s coming from beyond that and there’s no evidence of fuel in the bottom of the engine compartment. I already checked all the hose clamps and fitting.
Anyone have a similar experience and how did you repair it?
TIA?

Re: Fuel Tank Leak

Put some Marine Oil Sorbent Pads under the engine. Check that your fuel tank inspection port isn't leaking.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Re: Fuel Tank Leak

If it is definitely only whilst under way on flat water with no sloshing of tank , then it would seem to be the return line to the tank. May be clip is busted, line split with age etc. If tank is sloshing then any of the top fittings including fuel guage gasket could be the culprit. What happens when you run it at the dock?
