Fuel pickup

Fuel pickup i have two 50 gal fuel tanks
The 1st tank has 2 holes and one big hole to fill fuel in the 2nd hole about 3/4 pipe size and tee went to the vent and then another Tee and that's where drew the fuel off and also returned the fuel to the tank is that type of the system is it possible that that would work

Re: Fuel pickup

There are 2 holes in the fuel tank one is to fill the fuel in the other it is a combination hole that returns the fuel from the motor draws the fuel out from the bottom of the tank and the 3rd line is the vent is it possible that this could work with just one hole

Short answer, NO. Needed openings are

*Fuel fill to top of tank
*Fuel pickup via dip tube to near the base of the tank
*Fuel return usually to top of tank
*Tank vent line to top of tank

Looking at your pics there appears to be four fittings in the top of the tank.

Re: Fuel pickup

On the port tank there are two more not in picture total of 6 plus the access for Gage
The problem is starboard tank has two holes one to fill the other for dip draw, fuel return and vent
Tee vent one end, than another tee with supply and return
It wasn't working ,there was no dip tube ,must have fallen in tank
When I put it together ran 10 min,and stopped

You tried to draw fuel from the top of the tank, through vent return line? With some Tís?

I canít follow what youíve got or have done.
