I have a
Volvo Penta MD 2030 in my sail Cat (40ft), actualy therefore i have two of those... Anyway, i have to replace the flexible Disk coupling (that is the part between the flywheel of the
motor is attached to the transmission) because the axis of the
transmission has basically "eaten" the profiles in this flexible coupling disk. Very well, at this part of the world (Brazil)
Volvo does not keep any sparts (or maybe just to little stuff) and so i am stuck. I can immagine that maybe other models of flexible coupling disk may be used just fine (as long as the
transmission axis profil and the disk are a match... So, the question is this, does somebody have experience with this? Any suggestions as to what type(brand etc) i could look for (i suppose a car flexible disk coupling could do the job...). Anyway, thanks for your comments.
